The wife of Belarusian oppositionist Valery Tsepkalo she was summoned to the Ministry of internal Affairs of Belarus. She announced this to journalists on 30 July, writes portal TUT.BY.
According to Tsepkalo, the agenda was handed this morning the staff of GAI who stopped her car.
“I also want to say that this morning my sister, employee “BGB” unknown people in civilian clothes directly from the Parking lot took put in the car and drove away in an unknown direction. Where took – I do not know. Maybe it’s the interior Ministry – to testify, maybe the KGB,” she said.
Tsepkalo said that he regarded this as political pressure on the campaign of the joint staff.
The publication writes that the woman was summoned for questioning in connection with the inspection which is carried out in respect of her husband at the request of the businessman Sedat Ideji. He argued that Tsepkalo not paid him for services on the design and construction of the house. Tsepkalo called the words of the developer “nonsense”.
Valery Tsepkalo on July 24 went to Russia together with children, fearing arrest. He was going to participate in the presidential elections scheduled for 9 August, but the CEC rejected almost half of the signatures that the staff Tsepkalo provided in support of his nomination.
Tsepkalo and the former head of Belgazprombank Viktor Babariko were considered the main rivals of the incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko, but the latter is not admitted to the election – he was arrested on charges of financial crimes (probably detention sister Veronika Tsepkalo associated with babarikha).
In this regard, on 16 July the headquarters of Babariko and Tsepkalo decided to unite with Tikhanovski.
