Russian expert Leonid Slutsky, the head coach of Kazan “Rubin” (which is the Ukrainian defender Oleg Danchenko), told that forbade his players to use the word “brother”:
“Yeah, I’m fine for the word “brother”. I told them about it. Universal word – you are all brothers: “Brother, brother”. People lose their own faces, names, surnames, individual characteristics. To me it’s insanely annoying.
When Collared Bakaev calls partner brother, I said, “For you Zelimkhan did you joined the team? What is it you brother? What Danchenko you brother?”
I understand that he took the word “brother” in Georgian. I have them all deprived of the Russian language. It’s the only word they can speak. Yes, I told them that the word “brother” we are now outside the law.”
