Saturday, July 11, at the Central square of Khabarovsk was held an unauthorized rally in support of the Governor of Khabarovsk territory Sergey Furgala, who was arrested on suspicion of organizing one of attempted murder and two murders in the early 2000-ies.
As writes the local site DVHAB.RUit was the most massive rally in the city’s history. In the action, according to various estimates, took part from 30 to 60 thousand people (in the regional Department of internal Affairs the number of participants is estimated at 10-12 million). Despite the fact that the protest was not coordinated by the city authorities, law enforcement authorities did not interfere with his conduct.
The rally was attended by people with posters “Freedom to Furgala”, “I/We Sergey Furgal”. Participants also chanted “Freedom!” “Moscow, go away!”, “The far East is ours”, “Putin – resign”, “Putin – the thief” “We are here”.
