Valery GAZZAEV: “It is extremely improper for Semin”
65-year-old Russian coach Valeriy Gazzaev commented on the possible departure of coach of the Moscow “Locomotive” Yuri Semin’s from his post.
“I was surprised to read how some members of the former Yugoslavia, the Russian press is happy to extol a certain Nikolic as if he was the coach of Lokomotiv. Think it very improper for Yuri Semin, who, de jure and de facto heads the team and continues to consistently bring the club result. In the case of early termination of the championship (and this, it seems, is all) “locomotive” goes directly to the Champions League — which still need evidence of successful work of a coach?
The Yugoslavs maintain your specialist, they can understand. But why are we suddenly stood at the side of the foreigner? I call on the Russian media not to discuss the subject out of respect for the person who won with the team so many titles and proved everything to everyone. Should not our journalists to send another person to the living place!
Unfortunately, for some reason we feed foreign coaches and have no respect for their experts, despite the fact that they bring achievements and glory to our clubs. I can understand when our country came experienced eminent coaches who have won national Championships in other countries, worked with the national teams and successfully played in the European Cup — a Lawyer, Spalletti, Capello, Mancini, Lucescu and so forth. But now we are talking about a man who is nothing really is in his career is not achieved, but it all means push into the club that will represent the country in the Champions League. It looks like a gamble,” — said Gazzaev.
Earlier Valery Gazzayev and Yury Semin had coached Dynamo Kyiv. Gazzayev has headed “the Dynamo” from 2009 to 2010 years, and Semin coached the Kiev club from 2007 to 2009 and from 2010 to 2012 years.
