Spanish “Valencia” has sent an official letter to UEFA with a complaint issued yesterday by the Spanish football Federation (RFEF) decision, according to which the Levantine club will remain outside the European Cup in case of impossibility of completion of the championship of Spain.
The club has aligned itself with the position of the Professional football League (LFP), which believe that the President of the RFEF Louis Rubiales not have the power to make the decision on the approval of classification.
The essence of the dispute that “Valencia”, coming in 7th place in the standings, is competing for a place in the Europa League with athletic Bilbao, who reached the final of the Spanish Cup. The levantines feel unjustly offended and sent a letter to UEFA with a copy of the RFEF, to explicitly indicate their disagreement.
The club from Valencia insists that UEFA a few seasons ago changed the format of the distribution of seats in the European competitions, namely: the finalists of the Cup is not offered a place in the Europa League, and additional vacancy, as in the case of the Spanish League should be the next (seventh) place in the championship. That is the “Valencia” and not “Athletics” from Bilbao.
