The Ministry of foreign Affairs of North Korea has denied words of the President of the United States Donald trump that he received a “nice letter” of North Korean leader Kim Jong-UN.
The statement of the foreign Ministry of the DPRK published on the website of state news Agency of North Korea KCNA.
“Perhaps he was referring to letters that [the leaders of the US and North Korea] were exchanged in the past, we are not sure. But lately, no letters to the President of the United States Supreme leadership of the DPRK was not sent”, – stated in the Ministry.
On receiving a “nice letter” from Kim Jong-UN trump said at the briefing on April 18, answering the question about the relationship between the U.S. and North Korea, writes the Associated Press. The American President, in particular, said that if he had not chosen, now the United States would be at war with the DPRK. But thanks to his policies, I’m sure trump, the United States and North Korea “all is well”.
In 2017, shortly after the election, trump President, relations between Washington and Pyongyang deteriorated seriously. So, in may of 2018 trump said that the US can destroy North Korea. However, a month later, on June 12, 2018, trump and Kim Jong-UN signed an agreement on granting North Korea security assurances in exchange for full denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. On 27 and 28 February 2019 in Hanoi, Vietnam hosted the second U.S.-North Korean summit. The US President has told that will try to achieve with the leader of the DPRK agreement on denuclearization, and then “turn North Korea into an economic center,” but the parties have not reached agreement.
30 June 2019 trump and the leader of North Korea met in Panmunjom village in the demilitarized zone on the border of North Korea and South Korea. The parties agreed to create a group of negotiators from the two countries, which will be empowered to deal with issues of denuclearization.
From July 2019, the DPRK resumed its missile launches, which, among others, were reasons for the picks between the leaders of the countries. But, according to trump, the latest missile launches, the DPRK did not violate the agreementsreached between him and Kim Jong-UN. The Secretary of defense mark Esper pointed out that the United States will sharply react on missile launches and intend to “keep the door open” for negotiations with Pyongyang.
