The US President Donald trump said that China is interested in his loss in the presidential election. The head of the state expressed in an interview with Reutersthat was published on 30 April.
Trump said that China’s actions in the situation with coronavirus are proof that Beijing “will do everything” that he suffered a defeat in November.
According to the American President, Beijing wants to win his opponent Democrat Joe Biden, to ease the pressure that Washington has with China in trade and other fields.
Trump once again accused China that he was not promptly informed about the pandemic that caused the deaths of more than 61 thousand Americans and caused a deep recession in the United States. Answering the question, considering the possibility of imposing duties against China because of the pandemic, trump said “can do a lot,” but did not disclose details. The US is trying to determine what happened, he said.
Official representative of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of China Geng Shuang at the press briefing, on 30 April rejected charges of trump. He said that presidential elections are an internal affair of the United States.
“We are not interested in intervention and hope that the US will cease to involve China in its internal policy”, – quotes the diplomat official website of the Ministry.
He also said that China is a victim of the epidemic, and not her partner. Geng Shuang said that China could “restrain [coronavirus infection] COVID-19 at home” and made an important contribution to the global fight against the spread of the virus.
“Certain people in the US should know that their enemy – the virus, not China”, – said Geng Shuang.

Biden believes that trump will try to postpone the election because of a pandemic coronavirus.
