Tracy McGrady called to cancel the NBA season
Former NBA star and member of the Hall of fame Tracy McGrady in favor of the abolition of the 2019/20 season because of the pandemic coronavirus.
Recall that the NBA championship was suspended on March 12.
“As a former player I would have called for the cancellation of the season. Think it’s too much to do to resume the campaign. I have no conditions to keep yourself in top shape during the quarantine, all now closed. Even when all the halls open, it will take a lot of time to get in shape.
You cannot just take and resume the regular season. First you need to hold exhibition matches that the players have rediscovered their form. It’s too big of a risk to force players to play after 2-3 months of such a break without conditions. And all of a sudden start? I think the season is lost. I would rather as usual in October started the new season,” said McGrady.
Earlier it was reported that the NBA players agreed to a pay cut of 25%.
