The oppositional candidate in presidents of Belarus Svetlana Tikhanovski after the filing of the complaint to the CEC on the results of the vote left the CEC building through another exit. About it to radio Svaboda was told by the lawyer of the Belarusian banker Victor Babariko Maxim Sign.
According to him, Tikhanovski and its associates entered the building of the CEC at about 16.00. Around 19.00 Mark and other colleagues left the building, and Tikhanovski were talking in the “government representatives” and allegedly warned about the inadmissibility of actions promoting unrest.

9 August in Belarus was the main day of voting in the presidential election. According to the preliminary results of the CEC, President Alexander Lukashenko voted 80.2% of voters for the opposition candidate Svetlana Tikhanovski of 9.9%.
At the headquarters Tikhanovski the official results do not recognize and declare that in all regions of the country voters cast for it from 70% to 90% of the votes. Tikhanovski appealed the election results.
After the polls closed in several cities of Belarus the protests began, the most massive in Minsk. Between security forces and protesters clashes began. To disperse protesters in the center of Minsk , the security forces used stun grenades, rubber bullets and water cannons.
Press Secretary of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Belarus Olga Chemodanova on August 10 said that night during protests across the country was arrested 3 thousand people.
