UN Secretary-General, antónio Guterres, believes that the current outbreak of the coronavirus is the biggest challenge to peace since the Second world war. He said this during a speech in the headquarters of UN in new York, writes the BBC.

The UN Secretary General also added that the epidemic could lead to a recession, “which probably has no parallel in the recent past”.

Guterres called for an immediate coordinated response in the health sector to suppress the transmission and termination of the pandemic.
