The son of the President of Tajikistan was led by the country’s Parliament
Rustam Emomali, the eldest son of Tajikistan President Emomali Rakhmon has headed the country’s Parliament. This April 17 , reported the press service of the President of Tajikistan.
The candidacy of the son of the head of state to the presidency of the upper house of Parliament unanimously supported by the senators of its new composition.
This post is the second largest in Tajikistan. Rustam Emomali will take the presidency in case of death, incapacity or resignation of his father.
In 2006 Rustam Emomali joined the Pro-presidential party in the age of 19. In April 2017 Emomali Rahmon appointed his son, the mayor of the capital Dushanbe.
March 1, Tajikistan held parliamentary elections, where the ban was not attended by the largest opposition force – the Party of Islamic Renaissance. The OSCE has never recognized the elections in a democratic country.
