The son of the deceased Alexander Matveev told reporters that his mother was in the Department of neurology at the Vitebsk regional clinical hospital for several weeks. There, she found a benign tumor on my spine and had surgery. Two days later she began to cough, a high fever, the diagnosis of women changed three times, said the man.
One of the relatives of the deceased Lydia Matveeva told reporters that the woman was in intensive care with severe pneumonia on the ventilator, and 2 April, she died. The relative added that the diagnosis of the coronavirus was put in the morgue, no comment from the hospital she got.
Relatives also said that Matveev was in a regular ward with the other patients.
After the woman’s death, her son went to the police with a demand to initiate a criminal case against Lukashenka. According to the man, the President of Belarus has taken the necessary measures to protect the population from the spread of dangerous virus, resulting in the death of his mother.
Belsat TV said that on 5 April in Belarus from the coronavirus has died eight people, Matveeva was not among them. On the morning of April 6, according to the Ministry of health of Belarus, in-patient treatment from COVID-19 634 are citizens, 13 died.
On 27 March President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the country will continue preparation for the celebration of May 9. And the next day he took part in a hockey game and said that sports is the best medicine against viruses.
“There are no viruses whatsoever. Here you are also noticed that they fly. I don’t see is the fridge. Here is the best health. Better than sports, especially ice. Antiviral medication, it’s now,” – explained Lukashenko.
