The Russian government will provide additional support to health facilities

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order on additional financing of medical institutions. For these purposes from reserve Fund of the government will be allocated 47.5 billion roubles, according to the website of the Cabinet.

The funds will help to offset the cost of medical organizations. As pointed out by the government, due to the spread of coronavirus infection, the volume of medical services provided has increased significantly, and therefore needed additional funding.

Another order of Michael mishustina for subsidies to support hospitals and clinics under the jurisdiction of Federal authorities. The reserve Fund of the government – more than 2,3 billion roubles will allow to ensure the stable operation of these institutions, in time to pay the salaries of doctors and other medical professionals.

At the Government meeting on 12 August Mikhail Mishustin noted that the situation with COVID-19 increased the load on system of obligatory medical insurance. Increased costs of hospitals and clinics for treatment of new infections has reduced their income due to the suspension of the planned assistance. This was reflected in the salaries of staff not involved in the fight against coronavirus.
