In the province of van in Eastern Turkey crashed reconnaissance plane, killing all seven crew members. It is reported by the Turkish news Agency “Anadolu” on 16 July, citing the interior Minister of Turkey Suleyman Soylu.
The Minister said that the plane crashed into a mountain Artos at the height of 2200 meters above sea level. All aboard the aircraft were members of the Turkish security forces.
Soylu said that the aircraft was performing a reconnaissance mission over the provinces of van and Hakkari. The plane took off on 15 July evening at 18.35 local time (same as Kievan) from Ferit Melen airport in van province.
The interior Minister of Turkey said that the last time pilots contacted at 22.32 in the district of başkale. They reported that back. At 22.45 the plane disappeared from radar, the connection is terminated. At 23.15 it became known about the crash.
Manned reconnaissance aircraft EM-809 is entered in the registry of the main Directorate of aviation of the Department of the police of Turkey to monitor the Turkish provinces of Hakkari and van.
