The number of victims of the attacks, the shooter in police uniform in Canada reached 16
The death toll in the shooting in the canadian province of Nova Scotia, on 19 April, has reached 16. About it reports TV channel CBC.
The attacks began in the town of Portapak April 18, when police received reports of gunfire in one of the houses. Police arrived at the scene and found several dead bodies. Several houses in the town were set on fire.
The police tried to disarm the assailant, the locals were advised not to leave their homes.
Soon the identity of the attacker installed, they were 51-year-old Gabriel Wortman. He was soon arrested at a gas station, later the police said that he died. The details of the incident are not yet known.
Among the victims was a police officer, another police officer were hospitalized with injuries.
According to the channel, Wortman was the owner of several dental clinics in two villages.
The police is not considering the incident as a terrorist attack. There did not rule out that the number of victims may increase because of the inspection of crime scenes continues.
The current attack was one of the bloodiest in canadian history, the channel says.
