The countries of the Eurasian economic space March 31 adopted a decision for three months to ban the exportation from the territory of the Union of the individual products, the list includes onions, garlic, buckwheat, rice, millet, flour, sunflower seeds, beans etc. This decision was made in the fight against coronavirus, reported the website of the Eurasian economic Commission.
“The ban will allow to provide the population with sufficient quantity of such goods during the exacerbation of sanitary-epidemiological situation”, – stated in the Commission.
The government of Belarus by a separate resolution of 31 March imposed a three-month moratorium on the export of onions, garlic and buckwheat.
“The list of goods in respect of which introduced a temporary ban, – buckwheat, buckwheat groats, onion sets, onion and garlic. These goods are banned for export, regardless of their country of origin”, – the document says.
In many post-Soviet countries after the beginning of the spread of coronavirus emerged an excessive demand for cereals, onion and garlic. The world health organization noted that garlic is good, but from coronavirus infection will not cure.
