The Ministry of health recommended to suspend routine vaccination for COVID-19

The Ministry of health has allocated clarifications on the organization of the vaccination in the national vaccination calendar in terms of the spread of coronavirus infection. According to the Agency, agreed with the position of the CPS should pause the routine vaccination of the adult population, and vaccination of children to carry out on the basis of the epidemiological situation in the region.

“We believe it is appropriate to recommend to the regional Operational headquarters to make decisions on temporary suspension of routine immunization of children within the framework of the National calendar based on the epidemiological situation in the specific subject of the Russian Federation”, – said in the letter Department.

Ministry of health proposed in advance to inform the population about the time of vaccination, providing preliminary visits to healthcare organizations and compliance with measures to prevent the spread COVID-19.

Previously, the CPS in his letter noted the expediency of suspending routine vaccination of the adult population within netcalendar vaccination and vaccination schedules in epidokruzhenii with the exception of immunization in epidemic outbreaks.
