The Ministry of health presented the fifth version of the recommendations for the treatment of coronavirus

The Ministry of health of the Russian Federation has released the fifth version of the Provisional methodological recommendations for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of new coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

The fifth version of the methodological recommendations contain information on differential diagnosis COVID-19; registered in Russia diagnostic reagents for detection of RNA of SARS-CoV-2 (as 30.03.2020), drugs which are prohibited or not advisable to adopt, with etiotropic therapy COVID-19 recommended schemes of drug prevention COVID-19.

The new version also provides guidance on the procedures and principles of the organization of ambulance, primary care and specialized medical care in medical institutions, as well as in the outpatient setting (at home).

Updated information on standard case definition, antibiotic therapy in complicated forms of infection, and intensive therapy of acute respiratory failure.

Make additions and clarifications to the sections on epidemiology, clinical features, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of novel coronavirus infection COVID-19.
