The Ministry of health has ruled out the possibility of distortion of the proportion of infected coronavirus. The Department explained that all the results of testing for coronavirus infection entered into the information system operated by the Ministry of health.
All hospitalized patients with pneumonia are screened for the presence of coronavirus infection, including laboratory tests. “Data on patients with confirmed diagnosis of newly identified coronavirus infection and hospitalized patients with pneumonia, as well as for those with them in contact, mandatory medical institutions are recorded in the information system of accounting information to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19, integrated into EGIS. The operator of the information system is the Ministry of health of Russia. Thus, the possibility of distortion in the incidence statistics are virtually eliminated,” – said the Agency.
