The Ministry is considering measures to preserve in selling cheap drugs

The Ministry is developing proposals for changing the rules of mandatory re-registration of ED prices adopted by the government in 2019, writes “Kommersant”. So the Ministry has responded to allegations of pharmaceutical companies about the possible departure of some cheap drugs from the list.

Due to the fact that production was not profitable, many companies intend to abandon the production of popular drugs, in particular paracetamol, diphenhydramine and ibuprofen. The situation is exacerbated by a falling ruble and distribution COVID-19, which increased the demand for imported substance, but also increased their cost reported by manufacturers in submissions sent by them to the Ministry. The Ministry confirmed the receipt of these letters.

Earlier, the Ministry has repeatedly sent to the government proposals for adjustment of existing pricing rules. In the Ministry of industry recognise the need for urgent measures that will ensure the profitability of production of the Russian manufacturers. What amendments it can go, the Ministry said.
