Russian President Vladimir Putin is trusted by 23% of the company “Levada-center”. The results of the survey, the company brought on its website July 29.
This is the absolute minimum for all time of application of the methodology so-called an open question, when asking respondents to call themselves politicians and public figures whom they trust.
To this minimum figure was 25% (may 2020). In June the trust Putin said 26%, a year ago, in June of 2019, and 40%.
10% of survey participants expressed confidence in Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky.
To the question about approval of Putin as President responded positively 60% of respondents negatively – 33%. A year ago the work of the President of the Russian Federation positively assessed 68% of the respondents.
The survey was conducted on July 24-25 2020 on a representative sample of the population of Russia with a volume of 1617 people aged 18 years and older. The study was conducted by telephone interviews, the statistical error does not exceed 2.4%.
Putin holds the position of President since 2000 with a break in 2008-2012, when he was the head of the government. 1 July, Russia held a referendum on the amendments to the Constitution; July 3, Putin signed a decree that introduced a new version of the basic law. One of the amendments provides for the possibility of nullification of presidential terms of Putin that will allow him to remain in power after 2024, the end of his fourth presidential term. Thus, he can hold the office of President until 2036.
