Gaming notebook manufacturers rushed to develop new chips Intel Core H, which belong to the 10th generation. Before they were only available for desktops, and now to assess what a processor with a frequency of above 5 GHz is possible on a mobile device. Intel believe that this year will see at least a hundred new models of gaming laptops with the chips Comet Lake-H.
The range is traditionally represented by three classes of processors. High-end Intel Core i9 operates at a frequency of 5.3 GHz and has 8 cores and supports 16 threads. In the middle of the i7 chip, which can be 6 or 8 cores and a maximum frequency of 5.1 GHZ. Lower class – i5 with 4 cores and a frequency of 4.6 GHz. However, the true figures are somewhat different and depend entirely on fine-tuning chips during operation.
Intel has prepared for Comet Lake-H an impressive set of tools. Speed Optimizer and Extreme Tuning Utility is the official utility for overclocking the chip. Thermal Velocity Boost balances the temperature and power consumption. Adaptix Dynamic Tuning controls the fan, maintaining the temperature of the chip and preventing them off. Intel Turbo Boost Max 3.0 checks the kernel and redirects tasks to those who are currently able to operate at maximum speed.
