The Kremlin is waiting for “complete information” from Minsk about the detention in Minsk 33 “employees” of the Russian private military company “Wagner”. About it today journalists were reported by the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, writes RBC.

He argues that information about the illegal actions of the Russians, which could become the reason for their detention, no.

Peskov called the innuendo of the statement of Minsk on the intention of the Russian Federation to destabilize the situation before elections.

At the request of journalists to comment on the fact that among the detainees there are citizens of Ukraine, Peskov said: “We do not recognize their Ukrainian citizenship. They are citizens of Russia… We must first understand the charges against them”.

Answering the question why Russia does not pursue PMC “Wagner” for participation in combat actions in Donbass, speaker of the Kremlin said, “what is PMC “Wagner”? In Russia, de jure such thing as a PMC, no. There is a private security company, there are firms, and such thing as a PMC, no.”

He added that the Kremlin will take into account the statement of the writer Zakhar Prilepin about the fact that among the detainees there are a few people who served with him in the Donbass.

About the detention of 33 Russians who are in the PMCs “Wagner”, the Belarusian authorities announced on July 29. More than 10 of them are included in the list of the Ukrainian site “Peacemaker” as participants in the armed conflict in the Donbass on the side of Pro-Russian militants.
