The investigative Committee opened the case of overdue delivery of the ventilator
The investigative Committee together with bodies of Prosecutor’s office of Vladimir region opened a criminal case on the fact of sale of substandard and non-registered devices of artificial ventilation of lungs. The medical device was in as a charity transferred to the city hospital, Vladimir, reported on the website of the Investigative Committee.
According to the investigation, at the end of March 2020 Vladimir commercial organization 50 devices anesthesia and respiratory “PHASE-5 HP”. In early April, the devices were transferred to hospital, but the medical establishment did not accept them on balance, as the Board found them unsuitable.
“At the stage of obtaining charitable aid Board clinic found that resuscitators released in 1999-2001 with registration certificates, valid up to 24 November 2008, and expired more than 15 years ago life. There is also discrepancy between the output and set parameters of ventilation (difference in tidal volume is 10-15 per cent)”, – said the Investigative Committee.
The investigators came to the conclusion that under the guise of charitable aid to the hospital was made the supply (sale) of unregistered poor quality of the ventilator with a total value of 6 million rubles. It is regarded as a crime against public health.
