At the initiative of the President of the International volleyball Federation (FIVB) Ari graça and athletes ‘ Commission of the Federation established a special Fund to help players who have suffered financially because of the pandemic coronavirus. This initiative was approved by the Executive Committee of the Federation. Support will be provided to the professional players of volleyball and beach volleyball that are experiencing difficulties due to postponement and cancellation of competitions under the auspices of the FIVB.
The relief Fund is designed for those who currently cannot meet basic needs, including, but not limited to, the purchase of food, housing. In light of the global nature of the current situation, the resources allocated will be determined by a careful analysis of each individual case.
For the equitable distribution of funds to each application which can be submitted until June 23, will consider the ad hoc working group. To be eligible to receive funds, the athlete shall not have in the past anti-doping rule violations. In addition, he had to participate in a certain number of tournaments in season 2018-2019. There are also other criteria that FIVB did not elaborate.
