The health Ministry recommended to refrain from the planned visits to doctors

Due to the current epidemiological situation the Ministry of health has advised citizens to postpone planned visits to the doctors. Also, the government decree has been temporarily suspended preventive measures – preventive health examinations and preventive examinations.

“If there is no threat to the life and health of the patient, for security purposes, patients and health workers, the Ministry of health of Russia recommends citizens to delay access to medical care in the planned form in both outpatient and inpatient segments,” – said the press service of the Ministry of health.

The Department explained that medical institutions of all health systems continue to provide medical assistance to citizens. Emergency medical services are provided in full and without delay. However, for the treatment of a large number of patients with coronavirus infection, the health Ministry took action on the temporary modifications of existing orders of organization of medical care.

So, according to the order of Ministry of health of Russia from March 19, 2020 No. 198н, leadership of medical organizations encouraged to consider the postponement of the provision of routine medical care in stationary conditions. The care of patients with oncological diseases, diseases of the cardiovascular and endocrine systems, as well as being on renal replacement therapy will be provided in full.
