The Governor of new York authorized the US Open in 2020
Previously it was reported that in the nearest future the organizers of the US Open should officially announce the tournament as scheduled.

The USTA will take extraordinary precautions to protect players and staff, including robust testing, additional cleaning, extra locker room space, and dedicated housing & transportation.

Tennis Association USA will take extraordinary security measures to protect the players and the staff. Will be thoroughly testing the service, will create additional space in the locker room, will be allocated to housing and transport”.
However, many top players can refuse to participate in the US Open in 2020 due to a too-strict medical Protocol.
