Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on improvement of the procedure of inclusion of medicines in the list of medicines which can be procured by health facilities under trade names. This is stated on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The question of the inclusion (or exclusion) of medicines into the list will be discussed in a wider circle of experts. Review of applications will be not only members of the Interagency Council on public health at Ministry of health of Russia, but also the main extraordinary specialists of the Ministry (at least two) that specializiruetsya in the application of the drug. They, in turn, will have the right to collect expert opinions from the medical and pharmaceutical communities. At the Council meeting when the preliminary treatment is allowed to be present representatives of the applicant (manufacturer or milorganite), as well as legal entities, whose rights can influence the decision.
When considering the application will be considered and the results of pharmacovigilance, including data about efficacy and safety when changing to different drugs within the same international nonproprietary names, as well as medical care standards and clinical guidelines supporting the need for treatment.
“Information about the decisions taken will be published on the website of the Ministry of health within five working days after the meeting of the Council. All this will make the procedure itself more open”, – underline in the government.
Thanks to the new ruling, patients can be treated at home the same drugs that the doctors prescribed to them in the hospital. The same rule will apply to the transfer of the patient to another medical facility.
