The Italian government stated that necessary only minor changes in the medical Protocol before the start of the training teams of the Series A, which were due to resume on may 18.
The Ministers of sport (Vincenzo Spadafora) and healthcare (Roberto Speranza) was published today in the afternoon, a joint statement confirming that the Serie A clubs will be able to resume group work the following Monday:
“The scientific Committee has made a decision, requested by the government, the medical Protocol and confirmed a reasonable approach adopted so far by the ministries. The instructions of the Committee, which should be considered strict and binding, will be sent to the Federation to make necessary adjustments in Protocol, so that the team could resume training in safety from may 18”.
Although the adjustments are described as “compulsory”, they are considered a simple formality. As soon as they are implemented, the government will officially give the green light.
