The former Prime Minister of Malaysia, was sentenced to 12 years in prison

July 28, a court in Kuala Lumpur found the former Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Razak guilty to seven counts of fraud in the public finances, breach of trust and money laundering, reports the Associated Press.

Razak received seven prison sentences from 10 to 12 years, but the judge ruled that the lesser be absorbed by the large. Thus the politician should go to prison for 12 years and to pay a fine of $49.4 million

Lawyers Razak said he will appeal. The court allowed the former Prime Minister to remain free, but increased the size of the Deposit.
