The Euroleague and the Eurocup will end with the Finals eight
Euroleague approved the calendar of events at the start of the season, if 24 it may decide to continue:
29 may-11 Jun — quarantine (if necessary)
June 12-July 2 training camp
July 4-July 17 — the date of the European Cup matches
July 4-July 26 — the date of the Euroleague
In the Euroleague will be played 54 games in the regular season + the Final eight. The problem is, that the format of the duels yet determined: either it will be in the playoffs with two games in the series (classic European pattern), or the playoffs.
Contracts clubs of Euroleague and Eurocup automatically extended until July 31. On the quarantine period, all payments stop, but if the season will be played out under the scheme, clubs must pay players 85% of the base salary stipulated in the contracts for the season.
If, however, on 24 may, the clubs and the Euroleague will decide to finish ahead of both seasons, players will need to 80% of base salary.
Previously, the interest to host the Final eight of the Eurocup showed Belgrade. The Euroleague can, according to Spanish media, to play either in Moscow or in Athens, or in some Lithuanian cities.
