In Libya there is currently a diarchy. The country has recognized the world’s national consensus government (NTC), headed by Prime Minister Faiz by Saragam with headquarters in Tripoli, and the so-called Eastern government in Tobruk, which is headed by Abdullah Abdurrahman al-Thani. It supports the commander of the Libyan national army (LNA) Khalifa Haftar, who stormed the capital, Tripoli from April 2019.
The capital Tripoli is controlled by forces of the NTC, but from 2019 on the strength of the Haftarot are trying to take control of the city. In this conflict, Egypt supports the Haftarot, and Turkey NTC. Ankara sends to the government in Tripoli, logistical assistance and military experts.
