The national electoral Commission of Poland on the evening of 13 July announced the final results of the presidential election.
Andrzej Duda scored 51,03% (10 648 440). He declared re-elected for a second five-year term. His opponent, the mayor of Warsaw for Rafal Trzaskowski, 48, 97mm% (10 018 263). Thus, for the second round participants shared little more than 400 thousand votes.
The turnout was 68.2%.
As noted by the TV channel TVN24in Warsaw Trzaskowski was far ahead of its competitor, with nearly two-thirds of the votes.
He congratulated him with his victory in his Facebook. “I hope that your life will indeed be others,” wrote Trzaskowski.
