The Belarusian hockey player Dmitri Meleshko, one of the players of the hockey team of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, had contracted the coronavirus. This information to the Russian news Agency “RIA Novosti” has confirmed press-Secretary of Lukashenko Natalia Eismont.
According to her, Meleshko was hospitalized with a diagnosis of pneumonia, in the hospital test for coronavirus showed a positive result.
In early April, Meleshko along with Lukashenko participated in Amateur ice hockey tournament in Minsk. In particular, and Meleshko, and Lukashenko went on the ice in the final match of the tournament, which was held April 11.

According to data from the American Johns Hopkins University in Belarus at the moment 6264 confirmed cases of infection with coronavirus, 51 people died.
19 April, President Lukashenka stated that it considers inefficient strict quarantine measures, therefore, “Belarus has decided not to change dramatically the way of life.” Belarus remains one of the few countries where the coronavirus has not imposed quarantine.
