The city spends to drugs of 65 billion rubles a year

The annual cost of drug coverage in Moscow is almost 65 billion, most of the money spent on the provision of medicines of preferential categories of citizens. This was reported on Friday the Deputy mayor for social development Anastasia Rakova, according to TASS.

“Moscow has a unique system of large-scale drug supply. In total we carried out annually costs of drug coverage in the amount of nearly 65 billion. The lion’s share of these costs is subsidized medicines. In the registry of beneficiaries we consist of more than 1.7 million people, 18 million prescriptions are written annually,” said Rakova.

She noted that to effectively cope with this system without the introduction of digitalization is almost impossible. To date, 90% reimbursed prescriptions are exclusively in electronic form.

The city also conducted a single reference medicines, it is used at all stages – from the prescription, commodity accounting, as well as on the full cycle of procurement. All participants of benefits, whether health care providers or warehouse work in a Single information system.

According to the infographic, in 2019 the cost of subsidized medicines amounted to 53 billion rubles. The amount of procurement for medicines in hospitals in 2019 amounted to 11.7 billion rubles.
