On June 27 the court in Warsaw was arrested for three months, Tomas W., the driver of the trip bus which fell off the bridge that led to the death of one passenger and injuring 20 people. This was reported by TVN24.
As the press-Secretary of the district Prosecutor’s office, Miroslav Heer, the driver came to the hospital, admitted that he had consumed amphetamines before the flight. In his bag, police found 0.5 grams of the substance.
According to prosecutors, 25 Jun Tomas U., while under the influence of drugs, failed to slow down on the viaduct that led to the collision of the vehicle with the bump. The barrier broke down, the bus crashed on a bike path and broke into two parts.
Heer added that the driver, who is now in custody in a hospital room, little he could remember about the incident.
The Prosecutor’s office will check the bus company of the capital of Poland and subject to checks of drivers coming out in flight.
Agency PAP revealed that the crashed bus was a modern car, equipped with a sensor that detects alcohol vapours from the driver. However, Tomasz W. never drank alcohol.
He has been with the company for a year without problems. However, the police learned that before coming to this work it 13 times violated traffic rules.
