The Ferrari pilot Sebastian Vettel has announced that the contract will not be renewed and 4-time world champion will leave the Scuderia at the end of 2020.
Team boss Mattia Binotto believes that the parties did the right thing.
“We did said goodbye to Vettel. And for SEB it’s the right decision. I don’t know what his plans are for the future. Vettel is a great driver, and he’ll decide”.
“We still have a good relationship, but we came to the decision that our paths should diverge. As for the future SEB, I see that he is still interested in this sport. He hasn’t finished his business in f-1,” – said Binotto.
Ferrari has already signed a new rider, which in 2021 will be Carlos Sainz.
