The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on a post of the head of state approve 59% of Russians. This is evidenced by the results of a telephone survey of “Levada-centre”, which was published on 6 may.
This is the lowest level of endorsement of Putin for 20 years. Prior to this, as noted by the TV channel “Rain”, the lowest approval rating of the President of the Russian Federation were recorded in November 2013 and June 2000 – 61%.
In March 2020 the Russian President was happy with 63% of respondents.
The activities of Putin disapprove 33% of study participants.
“Levada-center” conducted the survey among 24–among 27 APR 1608 of Russians over 18 years. The statistical error does not exceed 2.4%.
The company noted that due to quarantine the survey was a telephone, and indicated that, as in her experience, during these studies, the respondents exhibit more loyalty to government than during a personal interview.
“The fact that in a telephone survey in April trust Putin to make some smaller number of respondents than in a personal interview in March (59% and 63%) can serve as an indicator of declining confidence and growing uncertainty of respondents”, – consider in “Levada-center”.
Putin’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the latest survey, said that “there are other polls that give a different picture.”
“About the survey “Levada-center” we have repeatedly said that they have different methods. We are not inclined to fully trust the results of these polls,” he was quoted by RBC.
Putin holds the position of President since 2000 with a break in 2008-2012, when he was the head of the government.
