Teofilo LOPEZ: Lomachenko in the top rankings due to the reputation and achievements
Future rival Vasyl Lomachenko Teofilo Lopez previously said that he does not consider Ukrainians as the best boxer in the world.
Now the Americans justified their opinion:
“A look at pound-for-pound as the rating of those who have the best abilities. That’s why they often put Lomachenko.
Though Basil is one defeat, but he is in the top because of his reputation and achievements. He’s a champion in three weight categories. Here’s the thing. That’s why Mikey Garcia is not included in the pound-for-pound.
Many people look at the skill set. But I see “pound” as a rating of those with whom you fought. It is important who you beat and what reason makes you number one in this list”.
