Taras ROMANCHUK: “Jagiellonia białystok Players have their wages cut by 50%”
28-year-old midfielder of “Jagiellonia białystok” Taras Romanchuk, who recently changed her Ukrainian citizenship in Polish, told how his club live in conditions of quarantine.
About the salaries
“All the players “Jagiellonia białystok” signed an Addendum to the contracts for three and a half months, which indicated that their salary will be reduced by 50%.
I, as captain, was supposed to be a mediator and diplomat, who reassures its partners to cut salaries, but to me this role did not like. I do not sign contracts with the players and don’t want to know the size of their salaries. We met and decided to go to such reduction in salary, because the club’s budget were missing 10 million PLN for three months. We believe that it is a little money. In this situation, everyone needs to do that.”
Quarantine
“As far as I know, representatives of Ekstraklasa in the coming days to meet with the Prime Minister of Poland. They are going to start negotiations on the resumption of training. As for my club, everyone has an individual training plan, which succeeds”.
On the Polish national team
“With the head coach of the national team of Poland Jerzy Benecom we spoke, moreover, in September 2018, the second time he called me in the national team. Unfortunately I then got injured”.
