Study: 71% of people in Russia don’t keep their medical records

The company Globosphere Russia engaged in the development of electronic medical records, conducted a study among 2,500 people above 18 years from 8 cities of Russia. The aim of this work was to find out how Russians today use medical services and how often resort to existing medical online services.

The majority of Russians do not store data about your health obtained through surveys (71%). Collect and store such information only 29% of respondents, most of them in paper form. Despite all the attention to telemedicine, 93% of respondents have never used remote consultations over the last year. Of those who communicated with doctors through audio or video, 65% did so more than two times, 22% three or four times. The situation with the pandemic, few have pushed demand in this sphere of medical services — but to talk about universal active use of telemedicine is still too early.

The majority of respondents would like to monitor the dynamics of health indicators in a few years this possibility has interested 69% of respondents. 63% of respondents are interested in DNA sequencing and retrieval of data on the compatibility of drugs with the organism. Compulsory annual plan of the trip to the doctors is ready to use 57% of Russians.

In General, online services for medical purposes use about half of the respondents — first of all we are talking about government websites for an appointment to the doctor and private services to assist in the purchase of medicines.
