As told the acting Director of the Institute Dmitry Lioznov, the Institute has offered three variants of the vaccine, which were selected vector candidate vaccine. Lioznov added that the Institute of influenza in the beginning of July will begin testing vaccines third-party volunteers.
“Today, we invite everyone until, at least, to sign, to declare their willingness to volunteer for those studies that are planned. And I think at the end of June – in early July we will begin a study of one of the vaccines,” – said Lisnow.
To participate in the study will be able to people from 18 to 50 years who are willing to spend a few days in the hospital and then to come to outpatient clinic visits. Volunteers cannot become pregnant and lactating women; Smoking and using drugs, abusing alcohol. Additionally, the study will not be able to engage people with chronic diseases in acute phase. For participation in a clinical research study volunteers will receive monetary compensation.
Previously at the Institute TASS reported that scientists of the Institute develop vaccine against new coronavirus infection on the basis of influenza virus. As explained in the institution, a weakened version of the virus used as a vector to deliver proteins of coronavirus, the immune response which should protect from disease.
