Serbia cancels state of emergency and a curfew – Vucic
6 may, the Serbian Parliament will consider a government bill to abolish the state of emergency and, as a consequence of the curfew. On may 3, the TV channel Pink said the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
According to him, the project is finalized. After parliamentary approval it will come into force on 7 may.
The President noted that two conditions are fulfilled for the lifting of state of emergency seven days in a row, the number of confirmed cases COVID-19 does not increase by more than 5% in a day, and fewer patients receives oxygen therapy.
Severe restrictions and a complete ban on leaving the house for certain categories of citizens brought a lot of inconvenience and has led to serious economic consequences, but after the release from quarantine of Serbia will be one of the best in Europe in terms of economic growth, Vucic said.
A state of emergency in Serbia was imposed March 15. Only on 21 April , the government has slightly weakened the regime of curfews (it now operates from 18.00 to 5.00), and the elderly three times a week were allowed to go out.
Coronavirus infection in the country contracted 9464 man, 193 of them died.
