Sales of Novartis rose amid pandemic coronavirus

Pharmaceutical company Novartis reported an increase in revenues in the first quarter due to the excessive demand for drugs on the backdrop of the spread of coronavirus infection. The company’s net profit rose 16% to $ 2.1 billion, while sales increased by 11%, says MedicalXpress.

“Distribution COVID-19 really contributed to the increased demand for drugs from patients, many of them bought drugs for a long time”, – noted in Novartis.

Pharmaceutical company said that at present, the interruption does not threaten the greater part of the drugs in its portfolio, the company is ready to meet continued increased demand for medicines.
