Russians warned about false trade favipiravir online
The Russian direct investment Fund (RDIF) and a group of companies “Chemrar” said the frequent cases of fraud with the sale of drugs allegedly containing the active substance favipiravir.
According to the report, published on the website of the FUND, in the Network appeared the resources on which under the guise of drugs favipiravir produced in China and Japan are preparations in which the active substance is missing.
In this regard, RDIF and Chemrar are reminded that
• currently in Russia it is impossible to acquire legally Japanese or Chinese medicines of favipiravir because they are officially not supplied to Russia
• the only manufacturer of drugs favipiravir in Russia is the company “Chemrar”
• favipiravir is no commercially available, it is assigned to patients only in hospitals and under doctor’s supervision.
Patients with coronavirus infection will begin to receive the drug since June 11.
“Since March this year, we purchased and analyzed a large number of specimens declared as Japanese or Chinese medicines on the basis of favipiravir, but none of them experts have not identified the active substance. In particular, I want to warn gullible people from buying the drug Favilavir supposedly factory HISUN, a Chinese enterprise, which produces favipiravir under license from the Japanese company FUJIFILM Toyama Chemical Co Ltd., since this is a fake”, – said the President of “Khimrar” Dmitry Kravchenko.
