Russian prosthetic arms are exported to India
Holding “Schwabe” state Corporation rostec together with “Motor skills” will produce and export a series of high-tech prosthetic hand with mechanical parts that will be delivered to India. In Russia the product has been tested and went on sale.
Test prostheses were held in the diagnostic center “Motility” in the territory of “SKOLKOVO”, where they test all the products developer. The procedure consisted of the endurance test and verification processes of dynamic parameters – as separate units, and products Assembly. The prosthesis showed high results on key parameters: the force on the finger tips, the speed and number of grips, the current in various States, stress and noise.
“According to various estimates, in Russia not less than 40 thousand people annually in need of prosthetics. The patient has the choice to buy a cosmetic prosthesis, which just masks the injury, or functional — pull, or bionic. The latest types of products in Russia is hardly available on the market are mostly expensive foreign devices. Holding “Schwabe” was able in the shortest possible time to master the production of functional prostheses “Motor skills”, despite the fact that the work was in the context of a pandemic, and known limitations”, – said Deputy General Director of the shvabe Ivan Aggain.
Joint work took place in several stages: elaboration of design documentation of the customer, preparation of production of parts and Assembly units, development of technical processes and control programs.
