Russia introduced mandatory labelling of medicines
From July 1, Russia introduced mandatory digital labelling of medicinal products, footwear and tobacco products. Yesterday entered into force the requirements on mandatory labeling of medicinal products for medical use manufacturers and importers.
Unmarked medicines produced before July 1, 2020, will be in circulation until the expiry date. Information about the movement of the labeled drugs in each link in all phases of product distribution (on each transaction) shall be transmitted to the state information system of marking.
Now buyers got the possibility of instant verification of the legality of the goods using the app “Honest sign” information about them in a convenient way, said Deputy industry and trade Viktor Evtukhov. “By improving the legal position of the companies code does not lead to higher prices for buyers, this did not happen in those industries where the system is already working. And in some industries could lead to lower prices for consumers,” – said Evtukhov.
The marking system to date, more than 230 thousand members. The app “Honest sign” downloaded about 800 thousand users, checked about 7 million of goods. In case of detection of illegal products directly from the app this can be reported in the system information get the control of the Supervisory authority.
