The solntsevsky court of Moscow on July 23 sentenced to various terms of penal colony three employees of the airport Vnukovo in the case of the accident aircraft Falcon, which killed the President of French oil group Total Christophe de Margerie. About this informed the Agency “Interfax”.
The former head of the flights airport Novel Dunaeva sent to the colony for six years, of the Manager-instructor Alexander Kruglov, and Manager of taxiing Hope Arkhipov – five and a half and five years, respectively. All three were found guilty in violation of safety rules of air transport (part 3 of article 263 of the Criminal code of Russian Federation).
Crash in Vnukovo happened in the night of October 21, 2014. Private aircraft during takeoff touched the wing of the plow truck, overturned and caught fire. All members of the crew (three people) and de Margerie were killed. Among the dead – a native of Ukraine Ruslana Saluk, who worked as a flight attendant. According to experts technical Commission, the driver of the snow machines Vladimir Martynenko was drunk.
Martynenko was sentenced to four years imprisonment, senior shift engineer Vladimir Ledenev – to three-and-a-half. In 2017 both of them pardoned.
According to the investigation, Dunaev, Arkhipova and Kruglov, having the opportunity to prevent a catastrophe, did not do this because of what the Falcon pilots did not know about the movement of emergency vehicles.
Protection and the defendants not pleaded guilty, insisted on acquittal.
