RNC Pharma: import of finished drugs in the first quarter fell by more than two times

In January-March 2020 in Russia was imported finished drugs in the amount of 60.4 billion rubles. A supply drop on the same period of 2019 was 52% when calculated in rubles, according to the RNC Pharma. Still consumed volumes imported last fall in anticipation of the preparation for the introduction of labelling systems. Import in-bulk this does not apply here positive dynamics (+10%), the volume of shipments for the period amounted to 33.1 billion rubles.

Long-term ruble dynamics of supplies of GLP in monthly detail had the worst performance in January 2020 (-60%), in February the situation began to improve (-57%), and rates of March can be characterized as moderately optimistic, here a drop in shipments relative to March 2019 was only 30%.

Natural volumes of import of ready-made forms in 1Q 2020 decreased by 64%, during the period in Russia were imported at 145.5 million packages of pharmaceuticals. Delivery of in-bulk, despite the relatively good dynamics of the ruble in real terms also go to minus, at the end of Q1 2020 notes -43%.

Among the top 15 corporations-suppliers ready LP in monetary terms, the positive dynamics in the reporting period showed only three companies. Maximum ruble gains demonstrated “es Dzhi biotech” for the year, shipments of the company’s products increased 2.7 times. Significant amounts accounted for on the company’s products “BioMarin pharmaceutical”. It is also worth noting the company “Johnson and Johnson” for the last year, shipments of the company’s products has doubled.
