Putin instructed to increase the production and provision of medicines and medical products

The Ministry of industry shall take the necessary measures to increase production, procurement, supply and stock of drugs and medical products, taking into account different scenarios of the spread of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19). This instruction was given by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin following the meeting of heads of state, with Plenipotentiary representatives in Federal districts.

We are talking about disinfectants, medical products, personal protection, medical ventilators, ecmo machines, medicines necessary for treatment of patients with novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), as well as drugs of the list of strategically important.

The results of this work, the Ministry needs to report every week.

Also the Russian government instructed to provide a single information resource of ICC and updating databases on the status and preparedness of the health organizations. In particular, this database should be information about the formation of an additional reserve of medicines, including those used to treat novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and its complications.
